SUMMIT CARE AND WELLNESS TREATMENT AND COUNSELING, PC awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Lincoln, NE — August 10, 2010 — CARF International announced that Summit Care and Wellness Treatment… and Counseling, PC has been accredited for a period of three years for the following programs:
-Intensive Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)/Mental Health (MH) (Adults)
-Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: AOD/MH (Adults)
-Outpatient Treatment: Integrated: AOD/H (Children and Adolescents)
-Residential Treatment: AOD/Addictions (Adults)
The latest accreditation is the first consecutive Three-Year
Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Summit Care and Wellness (SCW). This is the second accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to SCW. Previously SCW had received a one-year accreditation (July 2009-2010) following the organizations first initial survey.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
Summit Care and Wellness is a for profit organization with offices at 1700 S. 24th Street, Lincoln NE. It has been providing recovery services in the Lincoln, NE, Lancaster County area since 2004. CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
