Intensive Outpatient

Summit’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for individuals in need of intense substance abuse treatment, outside of a residential setting. IOP clients receive ten hours of weekly programming for six weeks. The six week programming may be extended, dependent on the clients progress. Nine hours per week of treatment is spent in a group environment, with one hour per week dedicated to individual/family therapy.

Summit Care and Wellness utilizes current and relevant evidence-based practices for addiction treatment. We utilize an integrated, holistic approach in the treatment of addictions. Our goal is to enhance wellness and recovery by addressing the five dimensions of wholeness – mental, physical, spiritual, emotional and relational.

Individuals are accepted into the Intensive Outpatient Services if they have completed a substance abuse evaluation and the resulting recommendations suggest this particular level of service.
